On the NPR report about Muslim women in Germany, shut up at home with no real connection to their "adopted" country. The report very blithely says things like: "This is women who are physically living in Germany, but psychologically living in another culture, which is looking for gender apartheid." ... "Polls show that only one-third of Muslims in Germany want to integrate."..."German authorities worry about the rise in the number of uneducated, imported brides and grooms from Turkey, who arrive through both arranged and forced marriages. The interior ministry says that nearly half a million spouses have been imported since the 1980s. Tens of thousands continue to arrive every year." Well duhhhhh. Not one of these "German authorities" seems to ask "Why are we letting them in here?" ....."Of what value are these people to our society?" ... "why?....why?...why?"
Instead there is a lot of very polite, barely discernible, hand wringing, as in "Europeans are starting to question the notion of multiculturalism, which can lead to separate, parallel societies and a large Muslim underclass." Starting to question? When will they reach for the answer, one wonders? When all of Europe has been reduced to the social level of Anatolian villages or North African casbahs?
Instead of resolving the questions, we get truly outrageous things like this: "... a Frankfurt judge rejected a Muslim woman's request for a fast-track divorce. The woman said her husband beat her, but the judge ruled that the Koran sanctions such physical abuse." and "...Schools are increasingly granting Muslim parents' demands that their daughters not take part in sports, sex education and field trips." In other words, the problems are being compounded by the "multicultural" imperative. Enlightened Germans, indeed.
An the women? "... Islamic preachers are filling the void."..."The Muslim institutions, they see these problems...They say, 'If you become again religious or get back to your roots and your religious beliefs, then everything will become better.' And that's why we have this movement, religious institutions are becoming bigger and stronger."
Germans have fallen deeper into the trap of multi-cultural nonsense because of their barbaric racial history. However, there is such a thing as being too sensitive. The murdered Jews of Europe were eager to be assimilated, wanting only to be part of the larger European society. Their tragic history and the Germans' horrific treatment of them has no bearing on Europe's new "guests".
